Tequira Monk: LCSWA Children, Families and Adults Therapist
I’m Tequira Monk (she/her), a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate (LCSWA), and I specialize in working with children, youth, and families as they navigate life’s ups and downs with care, creativity, and connection.
I create a warm, playful, and supportive space where kids feel safe to be themselves and families feel truly heard. Whether a child is struggling with big feelings, attention challenges, anxiety, trauma, or self-esteem, I work to meet them right where they are—with curiosity, compassion, and a touch of imagination.
I’m especially passionate about supporting children and teens with ADHD, PTSD, anxiety, depression, and those navigating identity, life transitions, or challenges at home or school. I also provide affirming care for LGBTQIA+ youth and families, helping them feel seen, celebrated, and supported. My approach is relaxed, down-to-earth, and deeply collaborative. I believe healing happens in relationship, and I work closely with caregivers to build understanding, strengthen connection, and foster growth both in and out of sessions.
In my work, I draw from evidence-based approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and mindfulness. With younger clients, I integrate play therapy, creative arts, and storytelling—because sometimes our hands and imaginations can express what words cannot.
I’ve worked across various settings and systems, which helps me understand the unique stressors kids and families face today—and the resilience they carry with them. I always bring a trauma-informed, strengths-based lens to the work we do together.
If your child is struggling, or your family is going through a tough time, I’d be honored to walk alongside you. I work with children ages 5+, teens, young adults, and families.
I am in network with Cigna and Aetna, and will soon be in network with BCBS and Medcost.

“It is revolutionary for any trans person to choose to be seen and visible in a world that tells us that we should not exist.” -Laverne Cox
My name is Emily Dew-Adorno (they/she) and I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHCA) who has been working in the mental health field for two years. I strive to make sure my clients feel acknowledged, understood, and validated. The foundation of my sessions are based on the belief that clients are the expert of their own life and thus view sessions as a collaboration of knowledge and expertise. I am committed to helping clients feel empowered, recognizing their reliance, and develop a deeper connection to themselves. Through my life experiences as a fat, non-binary, queer, chronically ill individual, I can offer a unique prospect to therapy that allows my clients to often feel more understood and acknowledged.
My specialties include PTSD/C-PTSD and complex relational trauma, (specifically childhood physical/sexual/emotional abuse, family trauma, and neglect), the LGBTQIA+ community (specifically trans and non-binary lived experiences, to include social and medical transition), depression, ADHD and neurodivergence, individuals with chronic illness and disabilities, and interpersonal relationships. I work with individuals ages 18+. In my sessions, I often use Psychotherapy (talk therapy), Person Center Theory, Feminist Theory, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Psychoeducation.
I currently accept Aetna, BCBS, Cigna and Medcost.
